Starting at the top of Acorn Drive, hike all the way up to the PCT. Come back down or keep following the PCT for a while.
Rumor has it that the mine burned, which would be tragic. Either way, it definitely requires caution with kids as it was sketchy to begin with!
This 1/2 mile self-guided nature trail starts at the Big Pines Visitor Center and features interpretive markers describing native plants.
A gorgeous up and down hike about 2 miles each way with a flat area and bench about half way up.
Starting from the dirt lot near Dawson Saddle, hike or mountain bike 2 miles to the PCT.

The Lightning Ridge Trail is a 1/2 mile loop across from inspiration point.
From the Lupine Campground, this trail is a little over 3 miles one way.
From Vincent Gap, this 4.5 mile (one-way) trail has 2,000 ft of elevation loss and gain.
Starting at Vincent Gap, climb nearly 3,000 ft to reach the summit.
This one starts in a neighborhood and goes straight up to the ridge, providing some amazing views of Wrightwood.
Starting at the Lupine Campground, this trail is a little over 4 miles each way.
This hidden gem is behind the Wrightwood County Club near the Methodist camp, but be warned...it is a CLIMB!
I don't know if Vincent's cabin is still there, but this used to be our favorite hike with young kids! Hoping for the best! 🤞🏽
This area near Glendora is (was?) gorgeous with a creek for the kids to play in. About 2.5 miles out and back.
I don't know that I've ever seen so much green! Less water features than Big Dalton Canyon Trail, but just as gorgeous.
This was an easy hike, just over a mile, near Atladena and was absolutely stunning. Hoping some of it was spared!
This hike is not long (about 3/4 mile each way) and on a service road, so fairly easy. However, it's uphill, so warn the kiddos!
