What better way to spend a warm spring day than hiking in a gorgeous, forested area along a creek?

This waterfall near Lytle Creek is about 1 mile each way and lives up to its name with lots of variation in beautiful scenery.

There are many hikes leading to and from this area including a 1 mile loop trail with fantastic views.

Especially if you have kids, Heart Rock in Crestline is not to be missed. Rocks to climb, water to play in, lots of greenery...perfection. 

A wide dirt road near Lytle Creek with one stream crossing and lots of pretty scenery. Just watch for cars!

This short hike near a campsite by Silverwood Lake makes kids feel like they are going on an adventure.

This regional park is a great place to take kids, because not only does it have a paved trail for wheels, it has a water park.

A short 1/2 mile trail with easy access to the Mojave River. So beautiful and so much fun.  

This trail is fully paved and great for scooters, roller skates, roller blades, and bikes in addition to just walking.

Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area has lots of trails for hiking and bikes, though our family just enjoys walking near the edge of the lake.
